Biography

Back

I live in Northern Kentucky with my wife Sandy. I have two grown sons, Jon serving in the Air Force and David an accomplished writer. While serving the Navy In the late 60's I got interested in photography and purchased my first 35mm camera a Pentax Spotmatic. From that time until now photography is a big part of my life. I have always thought of myself as an artist, and in the early 70's started formal art studies a The University of Cincinnati , but after two years of courses I realized I had to develop my art talent myself. I worked in the graphic arts industry for many years working with large graphic arts cameras and one with a 4x8 foot film plane. After two of the companies I worked for closed up shop, I turned my job interest to electronics and continued my education at Northern Kentucky University receiving a degree in electronic engineering technology. After working in the electronic field for about ten years I decided to go back to my roots as an artist and develop my talent as a nature photographer and a painter of nature fine art.
